What is the B Impact Assessment? The B Impact Assessment is for any for-profit company to understand its environmental and social impact. The tool is free and confidential and allows companies to take an in-depth look at their effect. The B Impact Assessment is a series of questions in five different categories, including governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. At the end of the assessment, your company will receive a final score in each area. Each B Certified corporation has a B Impact Assessment available on the B Corp website. Multinational corporations must also meet baseline requirement standards. • Make a legal commitment by changing their corporate governance structure to be accountable to all stakeholders, not just shareholders, and achieve benefit corporation status if available in their jurisdiction. • Exhibit transparency by allowing information about their performance measured against B Lab’s standards to be publicly available on their B Corp profile on B Lab’s website.
